Guess what? It's my birthday! When I woke up this morning I had no idea what was in store for the day.
In the morning I got to tear some paper and play with some boxes brought by. . .
. . .Uncle Alex, who took pictures of me with his camera phone.
Grandpa Duvall, Linda and Alex stopped by our house with some great things for me. Thanks!
After my nap in the morning, Mommy and Daddy told me there was another surprise for me.
There were a lot of balloons in our house! I love balloons!
Then I had lunch and put on a pretty dress. Mommy was so happy about how I looked.
And so was Oma. I was happy to see her.
Today was so hot, but I found some shade under a tree.
I love to crawl around in the grass. It sort of tickles my knees.
In the evening, I had a yummy meal and Mommy gave me a kiss.
Then I got to rip more paper and even more boxes.
Maybe the most unusual thing I encountered today was this flower in a pot.
I love flowers and dirt too, but there was something different about this. . .
The dirt was sweeter than regular dirt, and less crunchy too. Mommy told me that it wasn't actually dirt after all, but instead something called chocolate.
Chocolate seems to be a little stickier than dirt, but just about as fun.
Eventually, I figured out that there was cake in and around the pot.
Here, try some cake. It's pretty good!
After a while, I had enough cake and decided to play.
This is what the cake looked like at the end.
Here I am getting ready for a bath. I still have a little chocolate moustache.
I had a relaxing bath and then I was ready for bed.
My parents took this photo of me at 10:46PM, when I was exactly a year old. Having a birthday is fun but can be tiring.
