Summer is here and it's terrific. There are so many great things to do outside. Here I am doing my part to help load (unload) the dishwasher, so that we can go do something fun.
On a hot day, a little pool time is so refreshing. It's like a big cool bath outside with lots of toys.
A lot of people have visited recently. Here's Aunt Jen and Cousin Hazel. She's a great pal to hang out with.
I'm really enjoying my new skill in crawling. The world seems so big now. I've even climbed the stairs from our basement, with Mommy's supervision of course.
Playing with other quadrupeds is another benefit of crawling. Heidi is a fun older sister and is really gentle and conscientious of me.
A lot of times after a long day of activities, my hair is still excited and ready for more, even if the rest of me is ready for bed. My hair sort of has a mind of its own.
One day we took a long bike ride and had a picnic in a park. I got to have a vanilla cookie for dessert. Yum!
Later in the bike ride, we stopped for a cold drink, and I learned how to use a straw for the very first time. I never knew how wonderful a fruit smoothie could be on a hot day.
Here's Hazel mugging for the camera. She cracks me up! Hazel has a great sense of humor.
That's probably because Hazel's parents are always playing and laughing with her.
Uncle Chris is a neat swinging partner. He helped me pilot my rocket swing.
Aunt Kara, Uncle Jack, Cousin Chloe, Aunt Jennie and Mommy went on a bike ride, while Daddy, Heidi and I walked a little behind them. It's a good thing my Daddy has so many bikes.
I love seeing and smelling flowers. Right now, they are just about my favorite thing.
I also really like cottage cheese and I even feed myself. I'll have to say I'm getting pretty good at it.
Chloe and I enjoy getting dressed up with each other. Someday, I'm going to be a big girl like she is.
In fact, I'm starting to learn how to walk, but I still need a little help. Mommy and I like to take trips around the house.
I like to take trips in the car too. Here Heidi and I are on our way to go hiking with. . .
Hazel! She and her parents visited us again. Doesn't she look a little bigger already?
One day it was really hot and we ate outside. For dessert, I got to try something new–an orange popsicle. It's definitely as good as it looks.
You can't see it in this photo, but I'm very proud of my first tooth. It's just starting to come in and I'm as excited as my parents about it.
Oh, look! My marigolds are about to bloom. Mommy taught me to blow on flowers when I'm admiring them in order to keep me from trying to chew on them, which was my first impulse.
Well, its another beautiful day, so we're off for a hike. See you again soon.
