Stella Poppe Duvall is here!

The little girl finally made her appearance at 10:46 PM on July 16. Her weight was 8 pounds, 0.9 ounces and length 19.0 inches at birth. After a bit of a difficult delivery, she and her Mommy are doing well. She has a lovely shock of strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes and a bubbly personality. I hope she is kind to me as she grows up because I'm already a sucker for anything she wants.

In the past day and a half I've taken 118 photos of her, but I've selected just a few to show for now. More are guaranteed to follow. See the gallery.

No one guessed the correct date of arrival , but congratulations to Allyson Bears for being the closest. Perhaps her own recent arrival to the world aided her insight. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Very special thanks to the staff at St. Joe's including doctors Gardner, Scott and Baralea, and nurses Marvina, Jesse, Amber, Nell, Lisa, Daymi and Rebekah and anyone whose name I may have missed.

Julie and I and little Stella greatly appreciate all the care, advice and love from our families and for my Mom who held our hands when we really needed it.
